This. Is. One. Of. My. All. Time. Favourite. Songs. Ever. Ever. Ever!
I don't even know where to begin to describe the feeling the completely overtakes me when I listen to this song. It's completely captivating. It's overwhelming. It's something that I could only dream of performing. If I even had a tenth of Gallant's vocal range getting me to stop singing would be utterly pointless.
This is the kind of song that you put on and sing to yourself in the mirror back to back. I do it. You do it. We all do it. Even pretending to be able to hit those notes is requires a monumental exercise of testing your imagination.
The version I've chosen to share with you is the one with Seal. I'm prepared to fight with anyone who dares say that Seal's soulful voice does not provide a perfect contrast to Gallant's inhumanely high notes. This is a permanent feature on the list of songs that give me goosebumps. Aaaah it's just such an incredible sooooong!
When you're listening to the song for the 17th time don't forget to appreciate the sax. Oh my the sax!! Of the 1,018,096 YouTube views (at the time of writing), I'm probably responsible for at least half of them.
Is this how cults are formed? Can you start an appreciation society for a song? I need answers!
Here's the song. The second part of your life begins today. What's that? Thank you ever so much Thomas? You are a most welcome, fellow mortal. Now observe.
Wooow, sweet link up! Very well put together
